Bike Racks
How to transport two bikes on the back on an MGF!!
My solution involved two bikes, (one 23lbs, one 30lbs).
I bought a Halfords standard High Mount Cycle Carrier. The carriers uses two arms, one resting on the bumper, one resting on the boot.
The MGF boot is particlarly soft as is has the cooling slots for the engine.
The solution is to strap the Halfords rack to a standard MGF boot rack and spread the load.
Please ignore the ugly mug caught in the background!!?!

This method took me to Nice and back (2000 miles+), without incident.
Make sure you use lots and lots of straps though.
I strapped the rack to the boot lid, to the underneath of the car, to the rack... more straps to the bikes etc..
Shouldn't have.., but did manage over 130KM/h in France with this, and no problems.
